Payment and Booking

When booking, the correct name, address, phone number, email, and number of guests must be provided.
The maximum number of guests is the number stated in the cabin description.

Payment is due upon booking, when the booking confirmation is received.
The booking is binding, and any cancellation must follow the terms described below.
The payment receipt serves as the guarantee for the stay.
Please note that any bank fees are the responsibility of the customer.
Lack of payment, despite reminders, will be considered a cancellation.

Cancellation Policy

More than 90 days before arrival: 100% refund
89–15 days before arrival:    60% refund
14 days before arrival – arrival day / no‑show: 0% refund
We recommend having valid travel insurance.

The Stay

Check‑in from 16:00
Check‑out by 12:00
Other times by agreement.

The cabins are located in an area with several rental cabins as well as permanent residents.
Please respect quiet hours outdoors from 23:00–07:00.

Unless otherwise agreed or stated at the time of booking, the guest must clean the cabin before departure. Cleaning can also be booked from the host. Cleaning equipment is available in the cabin.
Extra cleaning or damage/wear beyond normal use may result in additional charges to the guest.

We do not allow the use of personal bed linen, sleeping bags, liner bags, or similar in the rental cabins due to the risk of pests.

Overnight stays by more people than agreed are not permitted and may result in eviction without refund.

The guests, represented by the person who made the booking, are responsible for any damage that may occur during the stay, whether to furniture, cabin, boat, or other items.
Damage or defects must be reported to the host as soon as possible.
The host is not responsible for theft, accidents, or personal injury during the stay.

Use of Rowboat and/or Motorboat

During the summer season, a rowboat is included in the rental price.
Dates for launching/ending the boat season depend on weather conditions, but boats are usually available from 15 April to 1 October.
A motor can be rented for an additional fee.

The guest is responsible for the safe use of the boat and must always follow applicable laws, regulations, and safety routines.
Everyone on board is required to wear a life jacket and ensure that all others do the same.
The boat may only be operated by persons capable of handling a boat and with sufficient experience and judgement.

The guest is responsible for assessing weather, wind, waves, and their own skills before using the boat.
If conditions are unsafe, the boat must not be used.
The host may give advice but is not responsible for the guest’s decisions or assessments at sea.

Damage to the boat, motor, or equipment caused by incorrect use, grounding, negligence, or poor judgement may be charged to the guest.

Force Majeure

The host may cancel or change the stay due to circumstances beyond our control (extreme weather, power outages, natural events, etc.).
Payment will then be fully refunded, but the host is not responsible for any additional costs for the guest.

Translation

In case of doubt regarding wording, the Norwegian version of the terms applies.

Privacy

Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable regulations and used only in connection with booking and communication before, during, and after the stay.

The hosts welcome you to Hardanger Fjordhytter Laupsa and will do their utmost to make your stay a memorable experience.
